General advice for participants
Orienteering is an outdoor activity that carries a risk of personal injury due to natural and man-made hazards, animal encounters and environmental conditions. Participants are expected to understand the risks of taking part in orienteering competitions and may be asked sign a waiver to this effect.

Use of Cell phones
  • Cell phone coverage is very good at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Participants are encouraged to carry a cell-phone for safety. Dial 911 in an emergency.

Share the trails!
  • We will be sharing the ski trails. Be aware, courteous, and watchful.
  • Be careful where you stop to read your map - don't stop where you obstruct other skiers.
  • Be careful about reading the map when skiing - don't become a hazard!
