Map symbols
These are the most important map symbols to know:
* thick solid green line - indicates a very wide track that is almost always groomed You can ski easily and quickly on these trails.
* thinner solid green line - indicates a fairly wide track that is often groomed.
* thick dashed green line - indicates a very wide track that is only sometimes groomed. You can ski on these trails quite easily, but the going may be slow, depending on when the last grooming was done.
* thinner dashed green line - indicates a narrower track that is only sometimes groomed.
* black lines - solid & dashed - generally indicate a mountain bike trail. Some of these are quite wide and though they are almost never groomed, they can be useful for skiing "shortcuts". (general warning though - some of the newer mountain bike trails are not marked on the map).
